SeaWorld Welcome’s A New Addition

Hi all,

Just got this heart warming picture from SeaWorld today and I thought it was worth sharing.

On Saturday 9th October 2010 SeaWorlds oldest Killer Whale Katinawhale gave birth to a new baby calf.  Vets working at SeaWorld said the sex and name of the baby orca, which is 7-foot long and 350 pounds, will be  announced later.

The newborn can be seen at Shamu Stadium at 12:30, 2, 3:30 and 5 p.m. today. It’s the seventh calf born to Katina and the 16th killer whale to be born at SeaWorld Orlando. Trainers will be on hand to answer questions about mother and child.

The picture is of Katina nursing her newest calf…. after 3….1…..2….3…. Awwww!
