Hi all,

Three weeks ago now we released a new version of the usrentacar.co.uk website, part of the redesign was the introduction of an intelligent FAQ system which allows users to rate our questions and answers by how helpful they found them, the rating system is based on a thumbs up, to indicate it was useful.

I thought it might be nice to see which of our questions has been perceived to be the most useful and popular.

Our reservations team not only speak to customers via the phone but we also reply to the numerous emails we get in, here are a few emails we’ve replied to today.

Dear usrentacar,

I understand that all the vehicle you offer are quoted as or similar but it has been a dream of mine to hire a Ford Mustang and travel across America!

Is there anyway you can guarantee me a Ford Mustang from Orlando Airport?

I’ve had a quick look at what our customer’s have been picking up from Orlando International Airport, and at present Dollar Rent A Car look a good bet for a Ford Mustang.

If you email me your reference number once you’ve made your booking I will add a request for a Mustang to your rental voucher.

Last year I had to queue for over an hour to collect my vehicle, is there any way to speed up the collection process?

To whom it may concern,

I have never hired a vehicle for America and have heard you have to have damage collision waiver?

Does your car hire come with this or is it an extra cost, if so how much?

Dear Susan,

Thank you for your email. Our rentals do indeed include Collision Damage Waiver regardless of package selected or supplier.

All our rentals include

  • Unlimited Mileage.
  • Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) which is a combination insurance of both Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Theft Waiver. As long as you adhere to the rental policy of the supplier you will not be held responsible for the cost of replacement or repair to your hire vehicle.
  • Uninsured Motorist Protection (UMP) up to $1m Liability Cover. Offers an Uninsured/Underinsured/Hit-and-Run Motorist Protection (UMP) that provides the renter and family members traveling together in the rented vehicle with up to $1,000,000 of non-stacked coverage for bodily injury sustained while driving the rental car, and caused by another driver who has no insurance, minimal insurance, or is a hit-and-run driver.
  • Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) up to $1m Liability Cover. All drivers included on the rental agreement will not be held liable for third party claims for bodily injury or property damage resulting from an accident.
  • Basic Roadside Assistance
  • All Taxes and Airport Fees.
