As you may know usrentacar.co.uk is the only car rental company to have secured a direct contract with Discovery Cove, which we sell through our sister site Orlando Attraction Tickets.

As of the 22nd May 2012 Discovery Cove will alter the way their packages are sold to the UK market.

The product formally known as “Choice of Adventure Package” will be altering to the Discovery Cove Package and will include 14 days consecutive entry in to both SeaWorld and Aqutica.

Discovery Cove Package includes

• Reserved dolphin-swim interaction
• Unlimited access to The Grand Reef, free-flight Explorer’s Aviary, Serenity Bay, Wind-Away River and later this spring Freshwater Oasis
• Freshly prepared breakfast and lunch plus snacks throughout the day
• Beverages throughout the day, including alcoholic drinks
• All swim gear (mask, snorkel, and swim vest or wetsuit), towels, lockers, sunscreen and other amenities
• All day self-parking at Discovery Cove
• A complimentary photo portrait of guest and their party upon entry to park
• A pass for 14 consecutive days of unlimited admission to SeaWorld and Aquatica in Orlando.

The Discovery Cove Ultimate Package remains the same including all of the above plus Busch Gardens.

Extra info

• Guests that booked their Discovery Cove reservations for 2012 up to and including May 21^st and that have selected SeaWorld as their park of choice will automatically be converted to the SeaWorld AND Aquatica package at no additional cost. The barcodes on their ez-ticket and lanyards will be active at both parks (lanyards obtained after visiting Discovery Cove).
• Guests who have booked a package with only Busch Gardens as their park of choice will be honored.

Ultimate Packages (SeaWorld, Aquatica, Busch Gardens) are not affected.

TurtleTrek… Hatching at SeaWorld Orlando

Using new technology, TurtleTrek gets guests closer than ever before to the lives of one of the worlds’ best loved and most vulnerable reptiles – the sea turtle.

This visual conservation experience allows guests to learn more about the plight of the sea turtle and the incredible life journey they take from hatching on a beach and making the mad dash to open waters, to the dangers and hazards they face as they mature and return to the very same beach to lay their own eggs, their tales of life underwater have in the past been impossible to show – until now.

Coming to life in front of the guests is a first-of-its-kind 3-D and 360-degree dome theatre that is completely immersive. Guests will experience a 360º view of the film, from above and all around, where they will be given a turtle’s eye view of the ocean’s wonders.

Back in the real world, visitors can get up-close to the sea turtle at two extensive habitats next to the dome, one saltwater area which will also house more than 1,500 fish and over a dozen sea turtles, and the other a freshwater habitat where guests can discover hundreds of freshwater fish and gentle manatees.

Many of the manatees and sea turtles were rescued by the park’s animal team. Since SeaWorld Orlando’s rescue programs began, the team has cared for and returned to the wild nearly 240 manatees and more than 1,200 sea turtles.

Freshwater Oasis… Otterly Fresh New Area at Discovery Cove, Orlando

Opening at Discovery Cove in spring 2012 is Freshwater Oasis, an all-new attraction featuring swimming and wading adventures and face-to-face encounters with playful otters and curious marmosets.

Designed with a rainforest canopy above and sparkling clear springs below, Freshwater Oasis is a natural fit within Discovery Cove’s tropical vibe.

All of the family can experience this tropical setting, with most of the water at waist height and various levels of exploration where they can wade, swim and float in the water-filled trails and discover marmosets and Asian otters.

For a spot of après-animal exploration guests can soak up the Orlando sunshine in the warm waters in the In-Water Relaxation Station, a secluded pool including comfy in-water chairs.

Antarctica – Empire of the Penguin… Subzero at SeaWorld Orlando for 2013

Never has there been a theme park so cold – until now. Spring 2013 sees the launch of SeaWorld Orlando’s most incredible attraction, Antarctica – Empire of the Penguin.

Explore the frozen wildernesses of the Antarctica through the eyes of the world’s most loved bird – the penguin.

About Discovery Cove

Discovery Cove Insider Tips

• If you are planning on visiting Discovery Cove during the summer or near a holiday, you should book your reservation at least one month prior to your intended visit to ensure availability as these timeframes tend to book early.
• Discovery Cove provides all guests with swim vests and/or wetsuits, a mask and snorkel, towels and beach chairs. Discovery Cove will also provide guests with a sample of specially formulated sunscreen that is safe for use in the animal habitats.
• Guests should bring their own swimsuits, and, if they choose, water socks or rubber pool shoes, hat, sunglasses and cover-up or dry clothes.
• Discovery Cove guests may not wear jewelry, for the safety of the animals.
• Discovery Cove provides complimentary transportation to and from SeaWorld Orlando on the day of the Discovery Cove visit. We also provide complimentary transportation to Busch Gardens Tampa for guests whose Discovery Cove package includes admission to Busch Gardens.

Water Temperature

The temperature of our pools remains constant throughout the year. The fresh water Serenity Bay and Wind-away River are maintained around 86 F (30 C). The salt water dolphin pools, and Tropical Reef are 77 F (25 C).

Discovery cove is such a beautiful, tropcial oasis in the middle of orlando. It is such a relaxing break from the normal theme parks. I know it seems expensive for a day out but when you consider everything thats included its really worth the money. The food provided is very good too, with a wide range of variety. The dolphins are beautiful and sop gentle. The whole experience will forever be etched in my memory. I would highly recommend discovery cove to everyone.
