Hi all,

It’s a busy time of year here at U.S. Rent A Car, we’re in full negotiations mode with all our suppliers and a few new one’s. The feeling here is that 2014 is going to be a busy one and most of the suppliers are speaking about next year in very positive terms, which makes a nice change after the 7 or so years.

We’re working on a few new things ourselves, we’ve just signed off a new design for our specialist Florida Car Hire site which when completed will look pretty impressive, we’re talking about a redesign for usrentacar.co.uk which we may start work on in quarter 2 of 2014 and we may well open a few dedicated website for other global markets.

With car rental fully on our minds I thought I’d display a few positive reviews about the service being offered by our current suppliers. The reviews below are the last 5 100% reviews received by ourselves, they are all based on pick up’s in November 2013.

Quality vehicles at an economical price

Mr S Lydall collected with Alamo Rent A Car from their Disney Car Care location.

Picked up from Disney car care centre. Never any pressure selling from there, and they send a van to collect you. Dropped off at the Dolphin which took minutes and was handy for where we were going next. Car was a good size for two of us and was very clean.

Mr W Statham collected from Dollar Rent A Car our of Las Vegas International Airport.

Having shopped around this was the first time we used this website,it wasn’t until we collected our vehicles that we could see the quality of the cars we had booked,we had an excellent experience at the check in desk the staff were very helpful and friendly, Good value for money much cheaper than using travel agents for vehicle hire. Would use again and would certainly recommend to friends

Excellent staff at the arrivals desk. Paperwork completed very quickly, pre paid for the fuel which was as cheap if not cheaper than outside the airport. New model car with all the usual refinements on. On returning the car it was again quick completion of the paperwork by the friendly staff.Would certainly use usrentacar on our next visit to Florida.

I love reading 100% reviews, it makes me smile its exactly how we think every car rental should go.

Been awhile since I’ve had anything to post about, but today I thought I’d update you on our partnership with TrustPilot, we started using the independent review gatherer in May 2012 as a way of discovering how our service was viewed by our customers.

We’ve been collecting reviews about our suppliers service for almost a decade and the knowledge we’ve gained from this has been invaluable not only for us but also for our suppliers. So by hiring TrustPilot we hoped to gain the same kind of insight and to a point we have.

TrustPilot email our customers after purchase and ask them to rate the booking experience, these scores are then used to provide an overall average out of 10. At present usrentacar.co.uk has a score of 9.1 out 10.

We are pretty proud of this score and hope to continue to improve, its probably unrealistic to say we could reach 10 out of 10 but 9.5 is possible and this is our next big target.

We are always keen to here from customers to help improve our service level so please feel free to either review us on TrustPilot or leave a comment below.

Here at usrentacar.co.uk we were the first car hire company to ask and provide real car hire USA reviews from our customers.

After the car rental has been returned we ask our customer a series of questions which the customer marks out 5, these questions cover the pick up service, the drop off service and value for money. These scores are added together to create a percentage score.

I specifically wanted a Mustang as every time I”ve rented in the past, we”ve ended up with a Sebring because of the ”Mustang or similar” statement. Through Budget via US Rent A Car, I had my Mustang this time and an excellent car it was too.

The rental process was so easypeasy. The Dollar representative who took my details was excellent, efficient and full of enthusiasm for his job and the on airport facility had me heading down the interstate highway from Tampa very quickly. The hire vehicle was very clean and fresh inside and out and prepaired to a high standard and full of fuel and ready to go. Upon return the Dollar agents have you on your way to the airport terminal as easy as 1 2 3 with a “Thank you sir enjoy your trip, your on your way”. IN THE PAST WE HAVE ALWAYS FLOWN INTO TO ORLANDO AIRPORT AND HAVE FOUND THE DOLLAR STAFF ON THE RENTAL DESK TO BE VERY RUDE. THIS TRIP WE LANDED IN TAMPA AIRPORT. THE STAFF ON THE DOLLAR DESK AND IN THE GARAGE GAVE US EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND FOR THE FIRST TIME IN A VERY LONG WHILE OUR RENTAL CAR LASTED US THE ENTIRE FIVE WEEK RENTAL!!!!(IT DIDN”T NEED TO BE RETURNED FOR A SERVICE)

Small SUV unavailable so given an upgrade and really enjoyed the car – just a bit thirsty on the gas. Customer service from Sam was great. No problems and would definitely use this company again.

The last in the recent series of posts regarding users reviews which has included Alamo, Budget and Dollar ends today with Thrifty Car Rental.

The reviews offered via usrentacar.co.uk are all generated by our customers and are specific to the location the customer has rented from and the supplier they have chosen.

Our customers are offered a couple of ways to review our suppliers. Customers who have downloaded our voucher app have the ability to review the supplier immediately upon collection, those without the app can review the experiences via the email link we send customers upon competition of their rental.

Thrifty Rent A Car

Following on from my series of posts this week regarding car hire reviews, today’s post covers Dollar Rent A Car.

This week I have posted recent reviews of Alamo and Budget these reviews are unique to usrentacar.co.uk and all originate from actual customers who have used our services and in turn used our suppliers.

All the reviews we gather, good or bad, are forwarded on to our suppliers to help them either improve their services or help highlight what they are doing correctly.

The reviews themselves help us to give a percentage score against each supplier, questions such as value for money, speed of service and quality of vehicle all go toward offering an individual locations and overall supplier score.

Dollar Rent A Car

Excellent service….easy pickup and drop off….lovely car at a great price!

We booked car through US Rentacar and found them to be very good, replying to our emails promptly. The car hire company was Dollar and even though we are Dollar Express members and had the membership number printed on our hire rental documents, they were not expecting us due to an oversight at MCO Dollar office. On saying this, once they realised their error, the matter was resolved quickly and the service was excellent.

Fast efficient service, would use again

Disappointed that Dollar told me it is now their policy that you have to buy a full tank of fuel from them and return it empty – which, of course, is very difficult to do. This means you are buying fuel from them that you do not use.

Price was exceptionally good for vehicle that I received, which is what most people look for. Everything was perfect and the staff were extremely helpful. Would definitely use this supplier again.

What a bargain!!! Hired the car for one day driving between LAX and PHX. One way drop off with a full tank of petrol (gas!) cost only 41.00GBP……. Booking direct with the car hire company would have been $300+. Absolute steal – thank you!

All the reviews we show on our websites are from actual customers who have collected from the locations, you can view more reviews by clicking on the “check customer reviews” button on our car hire results page.

Customers can leave reviews in 2 ways; 1 via our award nominated usrentacar voucher app and 2, via than email link we send all customers after their rental has been completed.

Budget Rent A Car

Fast and efficient service by budget rep at sanford airport. This was our 4th time using them and received great service with no problems.

I thought it was about time I shared some more user reviews for our suppliers, starting with Alamo Rent A Car.

When you rent a vehicle with usrentacar.co.uk you will notice that part of the results page shows you customer reviews, these reviews are vehicle, location and supplier specific; so for example if you clicked on the Alamo Rent A Car reviews for Orlando International Airport on an Intermediate SUV, all the reviews displayed would be specific to customers who have order this exact sequence.

We gather the reviews using two methods. Firstly customer’s who have downloaded either our  iPhone or our Android voucher app have the  option to review their hire immediately upon collection of their rental car via the review button.

Secondly, upon return of the vehicle, usrentacar.co.uk emails all its customers to ask how their rental went, this is the customers opportunity to review the car hire service. (please note these reviews do not go to our customer services team, any customer complaints should be directed as per our contact page).

Alamo Rent A Car

Alamo”s collection process was quick and simple. Even though we had to go and exchange the car due to a technical fault, this proved to be no real hassle and the Dodge Grand Caravan we had for the majority of the holiday was a pleasure to drive. It easily fitted four good-sized suitcases in the boot with two sports bags on top. We loved the degree of automation in the cars, with the electric rear doors and boot. Great service from USrentacar. We”ll definitely be return customers.

A far better experience with Alamo than I had with budget last year – the staff were friendly and went the extra mile to get us a Mustang as opposed to the other convertibles on offer.

The Suburban supplied to us was brand new and was perfect for our 4000 mile tour of the west. The staff at SFO were, as usual, accommodating and friendly. However, the same cannot be said for the lady who we dealt with at the return office at LAX. When I queried a $20 dollar chrge for fuel (I had bought the Gold package), she told me that Alamo “don”t do a free full tank.” To cut a long story short, she eventually refunded the money but in bad grace. Not welcome in customer relations. This was, however, the only negative in an otherwise good experience with Alamo and US Renta car.

Booked a compact car, got a much bigger one, which we didn”t want and didn”t need, so greater fuel cost, and not so easy to park. Alamo hire rates are cheaper than the biggies, but their fuel policy is a total rip off. They charge a full tank and you are supposed to bring it back empty, but how can you possible judge when the tank is empty without actually running out of fuel a few km short? So everyone brings them back at least five litres of fuel. RIP OFF!

Sloooow queue to get vehicle after a long flight and two hours getting through immigration is not welcome. No excuse that airport was busy as other rental desks all had only one or two people waiting. Excellent immaculate vehicle, good rates and good quick drop off at return but will think twice before using again.

Just been taking a look at some of the Car Hire USA reviews provided by our customers in June 2011 and I thoughts I’d share some of them with you.

Dollar Rent A Car

everything went very smoothly both with pickup and return to LAX which we were very grateful for especially pickup at LAX after a long 11 hour flight-we would use US Rent a Car again and we have also used them in the past – Mr D Creighton

At orlando we had a Ford Fiesta originally but were offered an upgrade as Dollar Express members and were given a Ford Focus. This was noisy and making a rotational rubbing noise from the front left wheel. We thought it safer to take it into a depot as it was getting worse and took it in at Tampa airport. Phyllis there was most unhelpful but luckily her supervisor was the opposite and soon got us on our way with a replacement vehicle and we had no more problems. On dropping off the car at Orlando airport the lady there again apologised that we had had problems. – Mrs S Tribble

Alamo Rent A Car

I have always booked direct with Dollar or Alamo, but on this occasion I left the booking until late and the prices were very high also we need a young driver insurance for my 21 year old son to drive in Florida. I booked with usrentacar due to the price and I must admit I was a bit worried. Now all I can say is I will never be booking direct again. The booking process was so easy and the collection at Orlando was no different with Alamo, in fact we had a bigger car with no extra cost. Thank you all. – Mr J Nicholas

We hired a vehicle through US Rent-a-car with Alamo as this is the cheapest and easiest way of hiring a vehicle and pre-paying the young drivers surcharge. Only rated 2 for the price we paid due to the surcharge but this is not US Rent-a-cars or Alamo”s fault its just the law. Would deffinitly use again. – Miss J Ashton

FLORIDA ORLANDO DISNEY. We had a 15 seater mini van easy to drive can be difficult to park at some places like shopping malls. there is not a boot for luggage you have to use the seats like three seats so you would only get 12 people tops!!Please be aware these 12/15 seater mini vans are getting broken in to a lot around three a day, they know you have more bags of shopping because there are more passengers. It happened to us at the shopping mall they broke all the locks on the doors and took all the bags out. don”t leave anything in the car/van police man said its happen all over, more with the mini vans. Must say this you feel very safe driving a large van about compared to a small car. Have a good one. – Mr K Gass

We are now fully in to peak season and car rental availability is at an all time low, disappointingly the suppliers are running out of popular vehicles like the Ford Mustang Convertible, so please don’t delay in booking your rental.
