Great news from our friends at LEGOLAND Florida who last night confirmed the opening of their new waterpark would be the 26th May 2012.

The waterpark, which is adjacent to the theme park, will feature a number of family-friendly attractions, like enclosed and open water slides, a lazy river that lets you customize your raft in Lego style, a mild wave pool, and cute kids’ play areas.

Some of the attractions you can expect are…

Twin Chasers – Friends ride tubes 375 feet down an intertwining pair of enclosed water slides before plunging into a refreshing pool below.

LEGO Wave Pool – Families can catch a gentle wave or simply cool off in this perfectly sized wave pool where the waves are just big enough for all ages to enjoy.

Joker Soaker – A fun, interactive playground with various lengths, heights and types of slides that offer something different for every member of the family. Guests can wade in the surrounding pool and be surprised with a torrential spill from a 300-gallon bucket.

Build-A-Raft River – Families can imagine, design and build a unique LEGO vessel and set afloat on a maiden voyage around the 1000-foot-long lazy river, set amongst playful LEGO Friends, flowering vegetation and palm trees.

DUPLO Splash Safari – Toddlers will rule at this water play area with shorter slides and interactive, larger-than-life DUPLO creatures.

TurtleTrek… Hatching at SeaWorld Orlando

Using new technology, TurtleTrek gets guests closer than ever before to the lives of one of the worlds’ best loved and most vulnerable reptiles – the sea turtle.

This visual conservation experience allows guests to learn more about the plight of the sea turtle and the incredible life journey they take from hatching on a beach and making the mad dash to open waters, to the dangers and hazards they face as they mature and return to the very same beach to lay their own eggs, their tales of life underwater have in the past been impossible to show – until now.

Coming to life in front of the guests is a first-of-its-kind 3-D and 360-degree dome theatre that is completely immersive. Guests will experience a 360º view of the film, from above and all around, where they will be given a turtle’s eye view of the ocean’s wonders.

Back in the real world, visitors can get up-close to the sea turtle at two extensive habitats next to the dome, one saltwater area which will also house more than 1,500 fish and over a dozen sea turtles, and the other a freshwater habitat where guests can discover hundreds of freshwater fish and gentle manatees.

Many of the manatees and sea turtles were rescued by the park’s animal team. Since SeaWorld Orlando’s rescue programs began, the team has cared for and returned to the wild nearly 240 manatees and more than 1,200 sea turtles.

Freshwater Oasis… Otterly Fresh New Area at Discovery Cove, Orlando

Opening at Discovery Cove in spring 2012 is Freshwater Oasis, an all-new attraction featuring swimming and wading adventures and face-to-face encounters with playful otters and curious marmosets.

Designed with a rainforest canopy above and sparkling clear springs below, Freshwater Oasis is a natural fit within Discovery Cove’s tropical vibe.

All of the family can experience this tropical setting, with most of the water at waist height and various levels of exploration where they can wade, swim and float in the water-filled trails and discover marmosets and Asian otters.

For a spot of après-animal exploration guests can soak up the Orlando sunshine in the warm waters in the In-Water Relaxation Station, a secluded pool including comfy in-water chairs.

Freshwater Oasis is included with admission to Discovery Cove, an all-inclusive tropical getaway where guests can swim with dolphins, hand-feed tropical birds in a free-flight aviary, snorkel among thousands of colourful fish and rays and relax on pristine white sandy beaches.

usrentacar.co.uk® has further increased its Orlando attraction ticket portfolio today by becoming an official reseller for Florida’s newest Theme Park, LEGOLAND.

The Merlin Entertainment owned attraction opened on the 15th October 2011 in Winter Haven, Florida located between Orlando and Tampa.

LEGOLAND boasts more than 50 rides, show’s and activities, it also offers access to LEGO generally not available in your average shop.

The Park is aimed at children aged 2-12 and has been receiving some rave reviews.

LEGOLAND REVIEWS

Great site for adults and children. Attended the first day the park opened and I don’t think I knew what was in store. Displays were awesome from the cities to NASA. Full size Ford Explorer with over 200,000 legos. Many rides most with height restrictions. Over all a very fun day.

Legoland was such a great time!! The theme park is geared towards kids 2-12, and has great rides as well as a lot of amazing sculptures made out of legos. The picture opportunities are endless! Legoland also features fun carnival games with great prizes. Not just little dinky stuffed animals.

We went to legoland the 3rd day after grand opening. i expected it to be long lines and pushy people. nope! no lines. and such polite people . staff and guests. i am a disney girl but on this trip legoland put disney to shame. my son was enthralled through the entire day.

At present LEGOLAND offer two different tickets, a 1 day admission ticket and a 2 day. Unlike other Theme Parks,  Child tickets start from 2 years old up to 12.
