U.S. Rent A Car Is The First Car Hire Company To “Like” Facebook

On the 21/04/2010 Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg told the audience at the F8 conference about his plan for turning the Web into anthumbs_up_you_like_this_bumper_sticker-p128096592726024722trl0_400 “instantly social experience.”

U.S. Rent A Car has today become the first car rental broker to incorporate the Facebook “Like” button in to their search results.

The Like button works exactly like it does on Facebook,  it allows users to show their approval for any piece of content on  sites with one click.

On www.usrentacar.co.uk it allows user to “like” any car hire result for any location with any supplier.

Frank Williams Direct of Communications said “The idea that customers can see the vehicles and suppliers their friends have used and liked appealed to us. Our own supplier reviews have been a great success and we see the Facebook like button as an add on to this service.”

U.S. Rent A Car this year released an updated version of its website with new features including an improved review service, Matrix style results, multiple booking options and live car hire searches.
