Detroit Lions plan more padded practices during training camp this year

If you?re going to a Detroit Lions training camp practice this year, there?s a better chance than ever that you?ll see players in full pads.Lions coach Jim Schwartz said Thursday he plans to practice in full pads rather than helmets or shells (helmets and shoulder pads) more often this year, so players can get used to the new NFL uniform rule requiring they <a href="">New England Patriots jerseys</a> wear knee and thigh pads.?You?ll see us more in full pads this year,? Schwartz said. ?There?s a physical nature to it.?According to the collective bargaining agreement, the Lions cannot begin practicing in pads until Sunday, the fourth day of camp.Related:
