Which Convertibles Are Our Customers Collecting?
Hi all,
In response to a comment made by Jane on a previous blog, I have been through our customer reviews to see what Convertibles our customers are collecting. The list is surprisingly short.
Mr S Carey collected a Convertible from Orlando International Airport on the 29/07/10 from Budget Rent A Car.
Mr A Johnson collected a Convertible from Miami International Airport on the 19/07/10 from Budget Rent A Car.
Mr C Reid collected a Convertible from Orlando International Airport on the 03/07/10 from Budget Rent A Car.
Mr D MacDonald collected a Convertible from Orlando International Airport on the 06/07/10 from Budget Rent A Car.
Ms K Sandler collected a Convertible from Sanford International Airport on the 01/07/10 from Budget Rent A Car.
Mr S Brown collected a Convertible from Orlando International Airport on the 02/07/10 from Budget Rent A Car.
Mr D Bellemy collected a Convertible from Washington Dulles Airport on the 27/06/10 from Dollar Rent A Car.
Mr M Ayres collected a Convertible from Washington Dulles Airport on the 25/06/10 from Alamo Rent A Car.

Mr M Meadows collected a Convertible from Tampa International Airport on the 26/07/10 from Budget Rent A Car.
Mr S Hutt collected a Convertible from Orlando International Airport on the 10/07/10 from Budget Rent A Car.
Mr K Wakefield collected a Convertible from Miami International Airport on the 12/05/10 from Budget Rent A Car.
Mr T Bannan collected a Convertible from Orlando International Airport on the 24/06/10 from Alamo Rent A Car.
Mr G Roberts collected a Convertible from San Francisco O’Farrell Street on the 18/06/10 from Alamo Rent A Car.
Mr P Stananought collected a Convertible from San Francisco International Airport on the 27/06/10 from Alamo Rent A Car.
They all got this.
Chrysler Sebring
Dr R Lucio collected a Convertible from Fishermans Wharf, San Francisco on the 07/06/10 from Alamo Rent A Car and got this.
PT Cruiser
Mr J Wood collected a Convertible from Miami International Airport on the 25/06/10 from Alamo Rent A Car and got this.
Mitsubshi Spyder
Mr G Maxwell collected a Convertible from Orlando International Airport on the 25/06/10 from Budget Rent A Car and got this.
Lincoln MK2
Having previously picked up a Mustang from Budget at Orlando International Airport, my eye is now on the Lincoln MK2, although I suspect this is an upgrade from the usual convertible.
Which convertible would you fancy?
Have you hired any of the above, what were your thoughts?

hi there been looking to book ford mustang convertible for my trip to denver in mid sept , booking goes through all fine , im ready to pay , but it says mustang convertible or similar , what guarentess that i will get that car , im debating to not book as thats what i want , im prepared to pay more , significantly more for what i want , is this possible ,

Hi Robin,
Sorry but as per our terms we are unable to guarantee make or model of any of our vehicles, even if you pay more. However if you drop our reservations team an email at info@usrentacar.co.uk they can put a request in for you and if the supplier has the model available they will accommodate.

I’ve rented convertibles every year for the last 5 years. I’ve had:
2x Chrysler Sebring (all from Sanford through Dollar)
1x Chrylser Sebring (MCO via Dollar)
1x Ford Mustang (Sanford via Dollar)
1x Mitsubishi Spyder (Tampa via AVIS)
Mustang is AMAZING, great car, super powerful and a head turner.
Sebrings are great fun, good handling, more of a ‘laid back’ car than the Mustang.
Spyder was terrible, if I was offered one of these again I’d rather have a push bike!

Agreed about the Mitsi Spyder, it was really rubbish compared to the Mustang, the hood latching design was particularly bad and wasn’t that intuitive to close and lock. We had to visit a nearby Budget office the next day to get them to check it wasn’t broken (it wasn’t, they said a lot of people have similar issues). It did however have a good Rockford Fosgate sound system in it, complete with small subwoofer in the rear.
One time at Budget @ MCO in 2009 when the counter staff was trying to find us a Mustang we were told they had a Corvette available, but unfortunately this wasn’t ready to go out. They also had Pontiac Solstice’s, but this really is a 2 seater roadster with room for about one small bag in the boot, not suitable if you’re travelling with the girlfriend.
